The Secret to a “That Girl” Morning Routine
If you’re reading this it means you probably want to develop a morning routine like the girls you see on social media.
I have been watching morning routines for years but always failed to recreate them.
In this blog post, I will go over the steps I took to accomplish the “that girl” morning routine.
1. Waking up an Hour Early
The best to develop a better morning routine is to will at an early hour, I know that sometimes it is difficult to get up early but, this is really important in order to take advantage of all this morning day.
To make this easier for myself, I have a spotify playlist called morning vibes where I listen to up beat music that helps get me more awake in the morning.
2. Stay Off Your Phone
When I hear my alarm in the morning, I stay off my phone and go immediately to the washroom. It is crucial to not check your phone as it can add stress and get you sucked into the trap of emails and social media.
I always try to make my mornings me time and not going on your phone is the best way to do so.
3. Planning Out Your Day
Planning out your day is fundamental to having a productive morning/day.
Writing down all the things you plan to do, no matter how small, and then being able to cross it out when you finish is vital to feeling more productive as you get a burst of dopamine when you finish the task.
You can also do this in the evening, however I like to do in the morning as I feel more clear of what is needed for the day for school and work and just how I am feeling. Some days I just wake up less inspired then I thought I would be last night.
4. Drink Water
When I wake up, I try to drink a glass of water as I feel quit dehydrated.
After I finish my class of water, I fill up my glass daily water tracker bottle I got from amazon as it helps me track how much water I am drinking throughout the day.
5. Movement
Depending on if I have any time before school or work, I try to either go on a 30-minute walk in my neighborhood.
This is usually if it is summer outside, however, if it is winter I go downstairs in my building to the gym and get a quick 30-minute walk on the treadmill.
If I am in the mood, I might also just squeeze in a quick 20 minute at home workout to get me energized in the morning and help me start off my day with more energy.
In conclusion, your morning routine doesn’t need to look exactly like this or be perfect by means.
You need to find out what habits work for you and develop a consistent routine as it will help you tackle your day better.
But using these proven habits in the morning can definitely help you have a better and more productive morning routine.
